Amelie - Chin Chin x Concept x Accord II x Corrado x Ramiro
Amelie is a 16.3h 2008 chestnut Holsteiner mare from stamm 776.   Amelie is very athletic, of a modern type and has a fantastic brain.  She was presented for her mare approval in August, 2013 in Heede, Germany and was premium, high scoring mare of the site, and earned the very good score of 50 points.  Her bonits were 7778678.    We tried to flush embryos from her in 2014 but were unsuccessful; we will try again in 2015.

Pedigree and damline:  Amelie is from the famous Holsteiner stamm 776, which has produced such horses as Acorado, the Calvados brothers, Caracas, Carlos DZ, Canturada, Conte della Caccia, Livello, Lordanos, Ramirado, Ramiro, etc.
Amelie's mother is Rosalie II, who is out of Kamille, the full sister to Acorado I, Acorado II, Acorado V, etc.   Kamille is also the mother of 1.60m competitor Canturado.  Rosalie II is a relatively young mare and is a consistent producer of premium foals.  Her 2006 foal was imported to the US and is being shown under the name "Refined" in the hunter derby classes with Peter Pletcher.  Her 2005 foal Acronos (by Acodetto) sold in one of the Holsteiner auctions for 22,000 euros.

Sire:  Chin Chin (Constant x Farnese) spent most of his life under Mexican ownership, and with his amateur owner, competed in two Olympics, multiple World Cups, and World Equestrian Games.  Chin Chin's focus on breeding began late in his life, when he was exported back to Europe in his late teens.  While he has earlier foals, most of his offspring were born in 2004 or later, and his semen quality diminished as he aged, making his offspring high in demand but limited in supply.  Some of his offspring successful in performance or in the breeding shed include:  Arezzo VDL, Bambino, Candice Van de Windeweg, Chamico la Silla, Charly Z, Chin Champ, Chin Quidam, Chin Quin, Chin Top, Classe, Phin Phin, Querly Chin, Sancha La Silla, Triomphe de Muze, Zapatero VDL, Zelote VDL, etc.  In the next few years, Chin Chin's ranking as a sire in the WBFSH rankings will continue to steadily climb as his offspring reach the higher levels of sport.

Damsire:  Concept (Concerto II x Langata Express xx) was an international competitor and in turn made international competitors and approved sons, despite a very limited opportunity to breed.  Concept has a high percentage of Thoroughbred blood and makes horses that are extremely modern, beautiful, and high in quality.  Concept's mother also jumped at the highest levels and descends from stam 275.  Concept's grandmother is the full sister to Landgraf.

The rest of the pedigree:
From here we go to Kamille, the full sister to the famous Acorado brothers.  Acorado I died at a young age but his production record is absolutely phenomenal with a plethora of approved sons and offspring competing at 1.50m or better.

We're excited to add this young mare to our program.  Her motherline is one of the best in the world, but adding the blood of Chin Chin, Concept and Concerto II makes her a very interesting mare to have in the US.  She has limited crosses to Corde la Bryere and no Capitol, giving her a wide variety of stallions to be bred to.
